About · Browser-native survival

What Worldspring is.

Worldspring is a browser-native, DayZ-inspired multiplayer survival island. A hostile procedural world, up to 40 survivors, one authoritative server keeping everyone honest. No install — click a link, name yourself, you're on the beach. And when you want your own world, the whole thing is yours to host.

The shape of it

Three things that make it what it is

01

Browser-native

No download, no launcher, no account wall. It runs in the tab you already have open — click a link, name yourself, and you're standing on the sand.

02

One honest world

Up to 40 survivors share a single authoritative world. The server runs the simulation — movement, loot, damage, day and night — so no client can lie about what happened.

03

Yours to host

The official island is just one server. The whole game is self-hostable on Cloudflare for pennies, and every world can list itself in the public directory.

How a run goes

From the sand to the next morning

  1. 1

    Wash up

You come to on a beach with nothing — cold, empty-handed, and already losing daylight.

  2. 2

    Scavenge the coast

Comb the shoreline and the treeline for food, water, tools, and anything that keeps the meters off zero.

  3. 3

    Hold off the island

Hunger, thirst, exposure, and the dark are all working against you. So, sometimes, are the other survivors.

  4. 4

    Last another night

There's no finish line — only the next morning, and whatever you carried through the dark to reach it.
